Medium Range Technologies

The medium range wireless communication technologies are used to connect the user to the Internet from any place such as their home, office or a public place without the hassles of plugging in the wires. The coverage area may vary from some hundred meters to few kilometers by increasing the number of access points. Usually they use unlicensed frequency channels.
